Ingredients
1.5 pounds of boneless chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup crushed tomato
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 - medium onion, diced
3- garlic cloves, diced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, diced
1 tbsp garam masala
2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup ground almonds
Salt to taste
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
Add crushed tomato, onion, garlic, ginger, garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, cumin, salt, coriander powder, lemon juice, and sugar to the blender and blend until smooth.
Taste and adjust the sauce.
Add the chicken to the slow cooker, then pour the mixture over the chicken and add butter, and stir.
Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or 4-5 hours on high or until the chicken is tender.
When the cooking, time is up.
Stir chicken to combine the sauce and chicken.
Add cream and ground almonds.
Cook for another 10 minutes.
Serve hot over basmati rice and garnish with fresh cilantro.
