Ingredients
2-chicken breast
1- tbsp apple cider vinegar
2-tbsp soy sauce
1- tbsp maple syrup
3- cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp ginger, minced
2- tbsp butter
2-tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup flour
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
Lay it flat on a stable cutting board.
With the knife at a slight angle, make shallow cuts (about 1/4 inch deep) into the surface of the chicken breast. The cuts should only go some of the way through the meat.
Keep the cuts evenly spaced to ensure consistent cooking. If you're making diagonal cuts, maintain the same angle for each cut.
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Dredge the chicken breast in the flour and shake off the excess.
Cook the Chicken
Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
Add oil and 1 tbsp butter.
Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and sear each side for 3-4 minutes until browned.
Add the more butter to the skillet, allowing it to melt and coat the chicken.
Add minced garlic and ginger and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup.
Allow the chicken to soak up the flavors by spooning the sauce over the top.
Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 5-10 minutes, ensuring it's cooked thoroughly.
Garnish the chicken with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Serve
Serve the chicken breasts with the pan juices drizzled over the top and your favorite side dishes like rice or steamed vegetables.
