Quick and Easy Pumpkin Shaped Dinner Rolls

These dinner rolls would be a wonderful addition to the fall dinner table, not only because they are adorable,  but they taste great as well, and makes great snack too.

Quick and Easy Pumpkin Shaped Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package quick-rise yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tbsp softened, margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp oil
  • pieces of string
  • 12 / ½ inch cinnamon stick

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine yeast, sugar, flour, salt, 1 egg, and softened, margarine.
  • With spatula, gradually stir warm water into flour mixture to make soft dough.
  • Turn dough onto lightly floured surface, knead until smooth, about 5 minutes.
  • Shape into a ball, brush with oil on the top of the dough, cover with plastic wrap and rest for 15 minutes.
  • Turn dough out onto floured surface.
  • Cut dough into 12 equal pieces, On lightly floured surface roll each piece of dough into ball.
  • Wrap each ball of dough with a piece of string 4 times, into 8 fairly equal sections, tie a knot in the string and cut the extra strings off, place the dough balls back into cookie sheet, cover and let it rise in warm place, about 30 minutes, until dough is gently pushing out between the strings.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a small cup bowl beat one egg and 1 teaspoon of water, brush top and sides of each dough balls.
  • Bake rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool completely before removing string.
  • Inset a piece of cinnamon stick into each rolls.
