Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, finely grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1- clove finely grated garlic
  • 1- tablespoon chopped fresh mint or cilantro (coriander leaves)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Peel and grate the cucumber finely. You can also dice it if you prefer.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the yogurt until it becomes smooth.
  • Add the grated cucumber and garlic to the yogurt.
  • Add cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Stir in the chopped mint or cilantro (coriander leaves).
  • Refrigerate the Raita for at least 30 minutes before serving. This melts the flavors, and the Raita becomes cool and refreshing.
