Cheesy Baked Eggs Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 - eggs
  • 4 -tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2- tablespoon butter or margarine 
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, washed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (such as Gruyere or cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1- clove minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped fresh herbs, such as chives, parsley, or thyme (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  •  Melt one tablespoon of butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add garlic and spinach, and saute for a few minutes.
  • Grease four ramekins or small oven-safe dishes with butter or margarine .
  • Divide the cooked spinach mixture evenly among the ramekins.
  • Crack one egg into each ramekin on top of the spinach.
  • Add 1 - tablespoon of heavy cream to each ramekin on top of the egg.
  • Season each egg with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top of each egg.
  • Place the ramekins in a baking dish and add enough hot water to reach halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  • Bake the eggs for 8-10 minutes or air-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • If desired, sprinkle chopped fresh herbs over the eggs before serving.
